空穏 KUON
The Japanese name “KUON” carries the imagery of a calm sky. It is not simply a reference to the sky itself, but a symbol of a mind becoming quietly clear, a tranquil space filled with openness, and a gentle return to oneself. Rather than directly explaining the brand name, “A Calm Sky” expresses the quiet landscape KUON seeks to create.
Meanwhile, “Into the Stillness” represents a moment of slowly surrendering oneself to that stillness. Rather than strongly stimulating the senses, KUON values moments in which stillness naturally emerges through the lingering resonance of sound and the subtle movement of flame.

About Yotsukawa Seisakusho
Located in Kanaya-machi, Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture—the birthplace of the Takaoka casting industry—Yotsukawa Seisakusho is a manufacturer of artistic copperware that has been passed down for generations. Since our founding, we have embraced the name "Kisen," embodying our desire to bring joy and enrichment into people's lives. This spirit continues to infuse each piece we create. Today, our work spans three brands: "Kisendo," which offers traditional Takaoka copperware such as incense burners and vases; the lifestyle brand "KISEN," specializing in tableware and interior pieces; and "KUON," an interior brand devoted to inner peace and mindful living. With deep knowledge of Takaoka’s specialized division-of-labor production, we collaborate closely with each artisan and factory to develop products that harmonize traditional techniques and soft, contemporary design ideas.
